•A very happy local authority client and head teacher user.
•It was the architect's first design for a school and hence there was no baggage about how to build one - it looked good as well.
•A fabulous building with lots of good things about it.
•The gull-wing roof acts as a water catchment with a transparent pipe leading to the storage tank adding an educational value.
•Incredibly simple and effective use of off the shelf Glulam frames.
•Flooded with light but not heat thanks to north facing classrooms and clerestory.
•Sound and heat insulation excellent. One third normal heating need for a primary school.
•Easily expandable and adaptable with two more classrooms planned.
