Grange Farm Eco-offices
The Grange Office Park in Hewish, believed to be the first office park built using large straw bales was officially recognised as an exemplar sustainable development upon receiving an international Green Apple award, the biggest award of its kind.
The offices incorporate existing structures, such as disused cowsheds and barns, in order to minimise the environmental impact of the development. Combined with the super-insulation of the straw and the natural ventilation methods used, this development is an example of environmental best practise.
