Hazelborough

EcoHut is a proposed Woodland Café in Hazelborough Woods near Silverstone, South Northamptonshire.  The building and facilities will provide a new public café, retail and community facilities. 

The development will provide publicly accessible amenities built to sustainable and ecological principles, which have influenced the design and specification of the project from the outset.

The context and setting, together with the client’s aspirations, provide an ideal opportunity for EcoHut Hazelborough to be an exemplar project of sustainable and site sensitive design. Incorporating sustainable materials and construction techniques, Ecohut will seek to educate visitors of the issues by displaying the strategies which have been adopted. The building within the natural, woodland environment can show how the two can coexist in a modern, sustainable way.

The building aims to tread as lightly as possible in it’s sensitive setting and incorporate a range of sustainable techniques, whilst following a modular design that is both adaptable and replicable.
