Ronan Schoemaker

Ronan joined White Design in September 2006 and is currently gaining experience before working towards his professional practice and management qualifications. He is involved in a number of projects within the office, including the landmark, sustainable conversion of Hamilton House, an innovative DriveMe visitor Hub and in developing Modcell (sustainable, prefabricated straw bale cladding panels) for use in housing developments.

Having completed his diploma in Architecture at the Mackintosh School in Glasgow, Ronan   was keen to gain hands-on experiance in a construction project whilst also acquiring valuable knowledge of sustainable construction, permaculture and energy issues. His education at Wynstones Steiner School grounded him in a holistic view of the inhabited environment and an appreciation of the aesthetic and cultural identities expressed in buildings.

Prior to joining White Design, Ronan spent a year building a domestic addition in the Cotswolds and in practice with The Amos Partnership in London and Aedas Architects in Glasgow. He has worked in Britain and abroad on a number of new build, masterplan and tender-stage projects across a variety of areas including residential, healthcare and education.
