Woodpecker Eco House

Essex

The Woodpecker Eco House project comprises of a two storey extension to an existing timber frame house in Lamarsh, Essex. The extension was designed in close collaboration with the clients to create a modern, flexible and sustainable space that extends the useable living spaces and provides a strong connection with the outside garden and countryside beyond. 

The extension is constructed using the Eurban solid timber panel system. This systems provides benefits in construction speed, reduces waste and provides a robust, durable and high performance building envelope. These panels will be clad in wood wool insulation and black stained cladding boards, echoing the aesthetic of the barn construction in the local area.  

This project will be on site through the summer 2008 and is due to be completed in the autumn.
